We list this item as "Favia" with quotes because it is more likely not from the genus Favia.  It may be from the genus Dipsastraea or something else.  The hobby is slow to adapt to new nomenclature and the taxonomy with this family of corals is complicated, so most hobbyist would call this a "Favia" even though that is now incorrect.(most Favia are native to the Atlantic and not collected for the hobby)

Like all the corals currently listed from TerraReef, this specimen is an aquacultured coral.
