"Clean" Chaeto Macro Algae

Chaeto or Chaetomorpha is a genus of green algae commonly used in reef aquariums to lower nutrient levels naturally. We can confidently say that no flat worms, Aiptasia, Majano, red bugs, pyramid snails, rice snails, or nudibranchs will be included with your order. If one of your goals with your refugium is to increase the number of "pods" in your system which fish and coral may eat, then Chaeto is a great option because of the large surface area of the algae for these animals to call home. Often Chaeto is kept in refugiums, but it may be alright in certain display tanks depending on your inhabitants and particular setup. We would recommend keeping this algae in a refugium with very bright light and a good bit of flow.
