These are a great beginner coral for new hobbyist.  The fleshy actively growing areas of this variant are completely green.  We also have a brown and green variant.  Their appearance at night can be significantly different then during the day.  After sunset they take on more of a classic textbook polyp appearance with tentacles extended for feeding.  They are sometimes referred to as Trumpet coral.  \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSmall fragments of this coral can often contain a bit of a stony “branch” that is almost rock-like in appearance and coloration.  Mature healthy colonies may look more spherical, similar to brain corals.  Like most LPS corals, they can use sweeper tentacles to attack aggressive neighbors, but these are often only a few centimeters long and not as frequently seen as other species.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe ordered these from Miguel Tolosa when he was still running FraggleReef.
